Religion not bigger than Humanism !

Religion, faith, spirituality ... Are related to people's beliefs , their connection with god , their inner  sanity . But now these words have become synonymous with fanaticism, cultism and a matter of power play .
  What is it about human psyche that the "need" to follow a religion , faith, a GURU . Is it a sense of belonging in a cult or just they need something to believe in .
  And when does this choice of belief of an individual become a cult and then there need to convert every person into their ( religion / group/cult) ... Peacefully or forcefully!
 How this religion become bigger humanism ?! How does finding inner peace result in destroying peace ?!

We all need to wake up , examine and analyse our faith ! Terrorism behind the mask of religion needs to stop ! No religion preaches killing innocent people . Peace to the world 🙏

In the cosmos of eternity ,what am I but mere EPHEMERA!" , this is how writer - photographer Kishore Thukral sums up his thoughts.Combining the dexterity of a lensman and sensibility of a poet he brings forth a beautiful treat of landscapes ,portraits and abstract photography.His exhibition at the India Habitat Centre featured 73 pictures shot through diverse regions -

from Ladakh to Nepal,from Mauritius to Japan ,from Spiti to Cambodia.

Being a financial advisor in the real world, his poetry reflect frustration and longing of inhabitants in this fake life of cities.He has to his credit a  number of photography exhibitions on Spiti,Danghkar and Vajrayana Buddhist art.

What really stands out in his work is the expanse of landscape and the movement of water.The portraits are beautifully captured too,

Israeli pop art !!

Welcome to a colourful world of Isreali Pop Art !! Ranging from mixed media to installations, this is one the most innovative and "fun" art I've seen in recent times !  

 

Artist Yuval Mahler draws upon rich supply of raw humour , stairs , caricature and comedy to produce his insightful studies of human behaviour . His works vastly revolve around Jewish life .His work appeals to the child in each one of us.

Dgaint Blenchner was another artist which really caughty my eye .Her use of icons from movies and a cheerful display of bright and vivid colors is beautiful .Her collages of cities around the world are loved by art collectors around the world. She has very skillfully used different techniques like video art and traditional artwork .

David Gerstein's work is so beautifully put together, it symbolises life in modern Isreal .

Coast Cafe

Coast cafe the new petit cafe in Hauz Khas Village is situated in Ogaan.The place has a old world charm and a cute little cafe by the beach feel to it .

Coming to the FOOD !! This is a foodie's haven . The menu ranges from Tacos to Kerala Curries and Appams. Yes it is indeed a wide range. They have some yumm salads,burgers and pastas too.The red , white and green veg salad with beetroot , goat cheese , arugula , lentil with parsley and mint is highly recommended .

 

Coming to the curries the coast cafe veg moilee made with coconut milk and vegetables is a sweet and spicy curry that tastes best with appams and malabar paranthas. There are loads seafood and meat curries like coast cafe prawn moilee,famous Goan prawn curry and masala fish curry.There is authentic Kerala spinach parippu and beans thoran  too.

The all day cakes and tea menu is quite interesting too. They have a wide range of green teas . The pink Rhododendron green tea has a nice light relaxing flavour . 

Not to forget there are wide range of martinis and cocktails to keep you happy !

A tryst with Divinity - Sharat Sharma

Being the Director Operations - Delhi Metro , Mr. Sharat Sharma is a very talented photographer . His work comprises of breathtaking landscapes shot in Ladakh , Mukteshwar and Sikkim to name a few . His work is characterised by the vastness of nature - mountains and lakes . The wonderous creations of God captured for all to rejoice . The exhibition is on at the India Habitat Centre - Open palm court gallery .

Prague - a day at the square

Prague a magical fun place . The main square is full of life . Full of fun and comic acts , snake  dancers and ballerinas-this place is so entertaining. Lined with various cafés this is THE place to hangout in Prague .

I found this quaint little poster and photoart gallery right opposite my hotel Josef. Beautiful posters of movies dating decades back . A great place to buy some awesome fun wallart.

The banana pancakes were one the most yummy street foods I have had. Topped wih Nutella it was yummylicous. 😁

This romantic couple chose to get married at the square.

A visit to the square is incomplete without  visiting the gallery of Prague. The house to great works of Dali,Warhol and Mucha - it is a splendid experience for all art lovers .@
